Payment features
Through GEST, people can purchase various products, such as tickets, wristbands or physical products, upon registration (via a form). Creating products is discussed in section Products.
If you want to enable GEST's payment functions, the Paytrail integration must be activated. Check out the Paytrail payment system here: https://www.paytrail.com/.
Products can be paid for directly using the form when registering, the person can choose an invoice and the product can be paid for via a separate email link. If the payment method is an email link, the person first selects the product to be purchased using the form. After this, they will be sent an email containing a personal payment link, through which they can pay for their product.
When choosing a purchase method, it is worth considering that only one product can be purchased and paid for via the email link. The product is the same for everyone. This option is suitable, for example, for collecting accreditation fees.
If you do not select an email link as the payment method (Payment via email), you can select and pay for multiple products at once.
The payment features can be found on the Payment tab of the personnel group's control panel.

Products
On the Products tab, you can choose which products people can buy, how they pay, and how many products each person can buy at once. If you don't have the product you want yet or don't remember how to create one, see Products.
.
Payment via email (payment link to be sent)
Products can be paid for via an email link. An email is sent to the person containing a personal link that directs them to pay for the product addressed to them using their preferred payment method via the Paytrail payment system. It is possible to pay via email only one product.
The payment link works as follows:
- Before registering (publishing the form link), remove the payment function and product from the Payment page.
- Publish the form.
- The person signs up. There are no products to choose from, but the desired product or event is selected using the normal selection field.
- The person is accepted.
- The person is given the product (depending on which payment link is sent to them).
- The payment function is turned on and the product to be sent is selected.
- Send the payment to the people you want.
If you send links with different values to people in the same group of people, do it as follows:
- Follow the previous instructions.
- Change product (only 1 product in use at a time).
- Send the payment to the people you want.
If you resend the link to everyone, the original product and amount will remain regardless of which product is currently selected in the Payment function.
Enable invoice
Individuals can choose to pay by invoice. GEST does not allow invoicing, but you can send an invoice via another platform. If you use this, remember to request billing information.
Allow multiple ticket sales
A person can choose multiple copies of the same product at once. Products can be purchased directly on the form when registering and paid for using their preferred payment method in the Paytrail payment system.

On the Products page, you can also set a purchase limit for an individual product if necessary (limit).
If a person can buy more than one product, you can control the order in which the products appear in the menu for people. First, check the products that people can choose, and then specify the numerical order (order).
Payment messages
On the Payment messages tab, you can edit the texts that appear on the form in connection with the purchase transaction. You can add, for example, information a payment description and edit the text that appears after a completing a successful payment transaction.

A receipt will be automatically sent to the email address provided by the person on the form upon successful payment. If you wish, you can create your own receipt and customize the content to your liking. Write the title of the receipt, add the sender, and the content of the message.
Payment transactions
Payments are made through the Paytrail payment system. Products can be paid for with online banking credentials as well as with the most common credit cards and phone applications.
Payment transactions also appear in the person's details in the person group view. The status of the payment transaction is marked with different colored notes:
Green note: The person has successfully completed the payment transaction.
Orange banknote: The person has selected invoice as the payment method.
Black note: The payment has been rejected and the payment transaction should be checked in the paytrail panel.
Blue note: It was a free product, meaning no payment was made OR the product was paid for on their behalf (the name of the contact person, i.e. the payer, is indicated).

You can quickly see at a glance when a payment was made and what products they purchased from a person's details. In the Details section, you can edit the payment method if necessary.

Adding products for people
In addition to items for sale, products can also include wristbands, passports, driving licenses, accommodation vouchers, etc. In this case, no price is given to the product when it is created. Products can be assigned to a person either through the Let's go menu or by clicking on the person's information. Select the desired product and the number of products from the drop-down menu.
You can also give products to multiple people at once via the Actions menu on the home page. Select Add product and press Let's go.
All added products appear both in the person's status and when checking them in, so they can be handed over to the right people.
