Production tools: Shift planning & management

This section will walk you through planning and managing shifts in GEST. You will learn how to create shifts and workstations, assign people to shifts, submit shifts for approval, and enable participants to book shifts via a post-fill link. You will also learn about shift tracking, capacity management, and printing and exporting shift lists.

Production tool: Group/Band and Manager panel

In the Group/Band collection, the group has its own page where they can add and update information, submit necessary attachments, and add people coming to the event and possible invited guests within the limits set by the producer. The collection can be used for, among other things, registering and managing bands, vendors, and clubs.

Production tool: Event schedule

With the event schedule, you can build and manage your event program in one view. You can add venues, performers, and people to the schedule, making it easy to manage all program-related information. If you want, you can also publish the schedule to your website via WordPress.

This section will walk you through creating a program schedule, adding venues, building program content, and adding performers and people to the schedule.

Production tools: Production or spreadsheet tool

The spreadsheet tool allows you to compile event production-related information into a single spreadsheet. The tool is suitable for planning and coordinating construction, demolition, stage, area and logistics schedules, as well as schedules. The spreadsheet can also include information from Venue and Group/Band collections.

This section walks you through creating a production schedule, adding and editing data, and sharing the table with different stakeholders via a link or printout.

Production tools

This section will walk you through GEST's production tools, or collections. You will learn how to create and manage different collections, such as organizations, venues, shifts, and schedules, and how to link people, products, and other production-critical information to them. These tools allow you to centralize event planning and management in one place.

The instructions cover the use of the Custom and Venue tools in more detail. Group/band, Production, Schedule and Timetable have different functionalities, so they are covered separately on their own pages.
