Settings
You can find out more in the instructions. When starting to use GESTin settings to make the system implementation as smooth as possible. The Settings section will go through user account settings, creating usernames, and data protection.
Through the administration tab, (picture) below you will find, among other things, user account settings, usernames, log, privacy policy and terms of use.

Managing your own account
In the User menu You can manage your own username settings. By clicking on your username, you can edit your information. You can, among other things, change your name and password, and add a profile picture and your own contact information if you wish.
Creating usernames and editing data
Through the administration tab, from the tab under Users, account administrators (admins) can create new usernames and make changes to existing user information.
Creating a new username. A new user account is created by clicking Add new. Complete the username information and specify the permissions. You can also choose whether the user is active, i.e. whether the username is in use or not, in which case the username is so-called frozen. You can modify the username status to inactive outside of production, and restore it when production starts.

Different rights can be set for users, which can be used to restrict, for example, the right to edit data, create new forms and users, or limit visibility.
Admin: The master user level which can be used to manage user account settings and create new user IDs.
Editor: The Editor user otherwise has the same rights as the Admin user, but the Editor cannot create new usernames or edit them.
User: User has limited editing capabilities for forms and collections.
Gate Plus: Gate Plus users can only access check-in functions.
Gate: A Gate user otherwise has the same rights as a Gate Plus user, but the user does not have the right to view the information entered by people on the form via the check-in view.
Editing username information. In the Users view, you can see all the usernames created for the user account. By clicking on the name of an individual user account, you can make changes to the account information.
Note! Give each user only 1 permission level. For example, if you give both admin and editor permissions, the weaker permission overrides the stronger one, and the person will not have the right to create accounts.
Data protection and terms of use
GEST can collect and process confidential personal data. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify an individual. These include, for example, name, contact information, and social security number. That is why it is especially important that the collected data is processed appropriately. Terms of use determine the rights and obligations of the service provider and the user. Data protection on the other hand, guarantees that the information collected about the person is processed in an appropriate manner in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
You can find the privacy policy and terms of use in the Administration menu in the top bar. The privacy policy comes with a pre-filled data protection template that you can edit with your own company information.

If you have created a multilingual form, you can translate the privacy policy and terms of use into different languages. Registrants can read them at the bottom of the form.

Links to the privacy policy and terms of use appear in the bottom right corner of the form, where people can read them before filling out the form.
